Rausch Creek Offroading Park
The Rausch Creek Offroading Park stands out by offering 1,700 acres of easy, intermediate, and hard trails for the off-road enthusiast. Rausch Creek hosts entry-level guided rides every month, and July’s ride will begin on July 2 at 9 a.m. and end on July 3 at 5 p.m.
It is for stock or slightly modified four-wheel drive vehicles and, this month, will focus on moderate to challenging rides.You’ll need to pay a yearly membership fee of $15 to access the park. After you do, you can pay $40 per day to wheel at the park — $7 per day for passengers.
Fish and Concert at Sweet Arrow Lake County Park
At Sweet Arrow Lake County Park on July 4, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will allow residents and nonresidents to fish at the park without a fishing license. This provides the opportunity to learn about the sport of fishing or reacquaint yourself with the sport. (All other fishing regulations will still apply.)
After a day of fishing, stay for the annual Fourth of July Concert in the Park at 6:00 p.m. The Pine Grove Community Band will be playing patriotic tunes. Just bring your lawn chair and grab a spot, because the concert is free and open to the public.
Pine Grove Furnace State Park
On Saturday, October 8, from noon to 5 p.m., the Pine Grove Hose, Hook, and Ladder Fire Company #1 hosts its Wine Festival. Winemakers, businesses and exhibitors, crafters, artists, and entertainers show off their talents at this annual event.
